Zareen is a development practitioner with nearly two decades of experience in poverty alleviation, Public Private Partnerships, gender equality, TVETA and youth empowerment. Her experience spans community-led development and funding, researching and designing programs rooted in dignity and local agency. A development sector veteran, she served as CEO of ZVMG Rangoonwala Trust and Executive Director of Charter for Compassion Pakistan, where she forged relationships that brought major donors to Pakistan for the first time, including the British Asian Trust and USAID. Zareen’s work extends right to the grassroots. In 2022, she led disaster response and humanitarian relief efforts in the aftermath of floods in Balochistan. She has held leadership positions at Children of Adam and the Poverty Eradication Initiative, and consults for the Asian Development Bank, the Malala Fund, and Aga Khan University.
